Asparagus – Jarlsberg Tart
1 pound asparagus, cleaned and trimmed
6 sheets phyllo dough
1/2 pound Jarlsberg cheese, shredded
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced lemon grass
coarse ground black pepper
Spray olive oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Lay out phyllo dough on clean, dry surface. Layer one sheet at a time, spraying with olive oil in between. Place on shallow 13×9 baking sheet (sprayed to prevent sticking)
Layer shredded Jarlsberg evenly over phyllo dough.
Toss asparagus in bowl with garlic and lemongrass to coat the asparagus. Arrange asparagus spears on top of cheese.
Spray olive oil over top of the dish.
Sprinkle with coarse ground pepper to taste.
Bake in oven until asparagus is tender 20-25 minutes.
