Yoga Practice to Unleash Your Creative Spirit, part 1 of 4

creativity

[kree-ey-tiv-i-tee]

the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, and interpretations. Originality, progressiveness, or imagination, manifesting in artistic expression.

Do you yearn to express yourself artistically and don’t feel you have the skill? Or do you have a talent that is blocked and unable to express?

For your creative spirit to flow, the Chakras need to be in balance. Although the Chakras run up and down your spine from the Root Chakra at your tailbone to the Crown Chakra hovering just above your head, it is not necessary to start at the bottom and work to the top. Instead attention and care given to each of the Chakras on a regular basis, provides insight into which Chakra may need extra attention at any given time.

Over the next few blog posts, I will be giving greater insight into each of the Chakras and tools for balancing each.

When you feel balanced in each of the Chakras the result will be the fearless flow of your being manifesting in creative ways.

Whether you are a practiced artist who is feeling stuck or blocked or you have never had the opportunity to explore your creativity, these practices will unleash your creative spirit for positive growth.

Practice this beginner’s Chakra Meditation daily for one week before continuing to the next blog posts. You may want to keep a journal of how you feel before and after the meditation as well as the Chakras your intuition guides you towards. After reading more about each Chakra and methods for balancing, focus in on the Chakras that need your attention.
